About Consent Auditing

Most of the time, when dealing with patient consent, all that matters is whether the patient consented or not. However, sometimes it may be more important to know more about that consent process. Questions you may want to answer include:

  • When did the patient consent?
  • What information did they see about the study when they consented? Has that study changed at all since their consent?
  • What kind of user interface did the user see?

These questions may be important to answer in order to completely validate that the user provided consent. This may be particularly important if there is a dispute about the patient's consent, or if any other kind of compliance audit occurs.

HealthEx captures all of the information you need to answer these questions when a patient consents. This information is available through our APIs.
